• Route: Dehradun → Pantwari (by road) → Nag Mandir / Camp 1
• Distance & Duration:
o By road: ~85 km from Dehradun (~4–5 hours)
o Trek: Pantwari → Camp 1 (~4 km / 3–4 hours)
• Elevation: 1,400 m → 2,325 m
• Highlights:
o Dense oak and rhododendron forests along the trail
o Scenic meadows opening into panoramic Himalayan views
o Nag Mandir (Snake Temple) at the campsite, adding a spiritual touch
• Camping: Overnight in tents or basic lodge at Nag Mandir
• Experience: Moderate trek with gradual ascent; ideal for acclimatization. The last
stretch involves gentle slopes through alpine grasslands.

• Route: Camp 1 → Nag Tibba Summit → Pantwari → Dehradun
• Distance: ~12 km (6 km ascent, 6 km descent)
• Elevation Gain: 2,325 m → 3,022 m → 1,400 m
• Duration: 10–11 hours (including summit visit & descent)
• Highlights:
o Nag Tibba Summit: 3,022 m; ridge walk with 360° Himalayan views
o Peaks visible: Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kedarnath, Gangotri ranges
o Alpine meadows and sparse conifer forests along the ridge
o Optional photography of sunrise (start early from Camp 1 for best views)
• Return: Descend to Pantwari, then drive back to Dehradun
• Experience: The summit trek is moderate, with a steep final 1–2 km. The ridge is
exposed, offering stunning views but requiring careful walking.
